Oh, it’s this place again. Now that I look at this page again… I don’t think this came across as clearly as I hoped, but Fusella and Scavina are both supposed to be, basically, muttering to themselves.
Guess what, I’ll be at TCAF (Toronto Comic Arts Festival) May 10th and 11th. If you anywhere near Toronto and you like reading comics you should not miss this event. Not only are there more amazing comic creators in attendance than you can imagine, there is excellent programming and stuff for the kids and best of all it’s ALL FREE. It’s been two years since the last time I was able to score a table, and I AM SO EXCITED. Yay!
Oh, it’s clear enough to me: Fusella and Scavina are obviously on two different trains of thought at the moment.
To be honest, Fusella is on the wrong one. This is the wrong moment to grind her axe about her superiors and their blasted policies.
I like how this foreshadows another thing: Scavia is a better officer/leader in this, her head on the problem while Fusella is practically ranting out loud.
Sabotage?
Reversal of the neutron flow in the main flux capacitor, caused by transition from one universe to another?
That was my thought. There’s no reason for a typical engine to suddenly go haywire (well, aside from cumulative effects from sudden dimensional shifts…).
That is my thought too. The jump itself might be causing malfunction of a normal engine, even if the conditions change only for a split second.
I doubt it, unless it was very clumsy one. I could imagine a Miesti desperately throwing a wrench in the works to prevent the jump from even occuring and not getting the results it wanted.
Uh Oh… Did some miesti get aboard? Are they going to force Galaxion to take them home??
I have a feeling this is going to go all zombie apocalypse on us in a minute!
Why have I got an awful feeling that the two engineering teams are going to fall out over who/what caused the incident?
There wasn’t enough coffee. It’s the only plausible answer!
I don’t think it was mentioned yet where they are now. Just that they’re not where IP and TerSA are. They said the Pathfinder made two jumps, one to the parallel universe, one back, but at the end of the second jump they were light years away from where they started. Could that have happened this time as well?
Yes it could, in which case they are going have to take the slow way home, just like the Pathfinder.
I was mainly wondering whether that had happened or something else entirely.
It just wouldn’t do to take the lesser staircase.
They only use that one for minor emergencies
Dang I can smell the sabotage from all the way down here in the States…….
