Donations
I’ve had several requests for a donation button for Galaxion from readers who have felt the generous urge to drop some spare change into the virtual hat, so here we are at last. If you’ve enjoyed reading Galaxion online and would like to help support the comic with a donation, I would like to thank you for your kindness with a small gift.
Donate any amount via PayPal and receive a digital copy of the not-available-online 8-page story “Designer’s Dilemma”! You will be able to choose between a standard pdf format and a mobi format which is sized just right for e-readers like the Kindle.
“Designer’s Dilemma” is a cute little story about Zan as a boy, and my own two children were thrilled to be asked to pose as models for 9-yr-old Zan and his younger sister. I planned it to be a minicomic (that’s the little 4.25″ x 5.5″ size), because I’m just so fond of the format. It’s one of the simplest ways for a young aspiring comic artist to delve into self-publishing– take a standard piece of paper, fold it in quarters, cut along the top and staple along the fold, and you’ve got yourself an 8-page comic, including the cover. The astonishing thing is that it’s taken me this long to finally make one! I hope to do more of these just-for-fun short stories in the future, probably one or two a year as the inspiration strikes. Paper editions of “Designer’s Dilemma” are for sale at conventions, but now those of you who can’t make it to one of my appearances also have an opportunity to own a copy.
