The thing in the second-to-last panel is Aria’s Emergency Alert Broadcaster, or Panic Alarm. In a previous memory/flashback, we saw her smash it against a wall to activate the alarm, and hence its broken state. (In the event that your emergency does not entail your other hand being pinned, you could also simply lift the cover and push the button.)
Ahhh. No more reeps.
A moment of silence for the faithful EAB, which reeped to the end.
Is it too late to make a “Don’t fear the reeper” joke, for old times’ sake?
Don’t fear the Reeper. Love it. Wish I’d thought of it.
At least no one felt compelled to pay him. After all, he didn’t get anyone safely to the other side.
I could have thought up a good pun, but it was rather late, and I didn’t want to reepeat any of the wonderful puns on previous pages.
Panel Seven is the saddest panel in the history of EAB death panels ever!
Of course, this is probably one of two EAB death panels ever…
Panel 3: Karl has really bought into the belief that the Miesti are the root of all evil.
How long has he lived there again?
I’m not sure if this question is rhetorical or not– but assuming that it isn’t, the answer is ten years.
It wasn’t rhetorical. Thanks for the memory refresher!
