And we’re back! Thank you for your patience over that short break. I am pleased to say I survived the four-day convention that is (now) FanExpo. Sharing a space with Crystal Yates of Earthsong worked out so well that we’ve already made arrangements to do the same thing next year!
And in other convention news, it seems that it’s official– I’ll be at the New York Comic Con October 13-16! The last time I was in New York City for a show, back in the ’90s, we got about a foot of snow. Please don’t do anything like that to me again, New York! If all goes according to plan, I’ll be at a table in the Webcomics Pavilion. Hope to see you there!
Oh, and can you believe I’ve been at this webcomic thing for five years? Happy Anniversary to Galaxion!
::does happy dance::
Maybe now Vanguarthe can tell Gen. Nelson what the heck is going on… and the real reason why the Mi… I mean, why the Rautani are so horrible.
(does creaking happy dance)
Now we’re getting somewhere ! Discussing tea…. Ohhh noooooo ! Its Carl !
Welcome back, and congrats!
You’re not likely to see mountains of snow at NYCC, but there is one serious hazard: The dreaded Fire Code Limit. Be aware that if you leave the show area during the day, it may be… complicated… to get back in. I’ve attempted to attend twice, and been unable to get there early enough on Saturday morning to get in. I work in the city now, so unless I forget when it is again, I’ll hope fully see you there.
So there’s mountains of something at NYCC, but its probably not snow.
The picture behind Carl: is that a picture of Comic Con?
Ooooh, nice way to do the translations, does the language of the alternate people sound close to what the Tersa people are speaking or not at all?
I think the speech-bubbles overlapping like that must mean a simultaneous translation.
There’s really no way to know what the language sounds like. (At least so far, but interesting concept!)
@ HardWearJunkie- That DOES look like the Convention Center front on Harbor Drive… good eye for details!
I also love the way the translator’s dialog is drawn .
A neat way of depicting translation!
