Finally, the answers start arriving! You can all stop nagging me now.
EDIT: (Forgot to add this before page went live.) If you live in/near Toronto and wanted to buy stuff from me at FanExpo but found the entrance fee outrageous, I will also be at Word on the Street on Sunday, Sept 25th. It’s an outdoor book fair and it’s free to attend, a great day out for the whole family.
We’ll try.
Oh yessss. Rolling now ! !
An invasion from outer space? Well that was unexpected, guess first contact went differently here!
…what if the invasion was by this universe’s version of the Myradi? Or, in fact, any alien that might exist in the original universe. That would make it imperative for the Galaxion to get back home with a warning…
Finally, the start of an explanation! About bloody time. Keep at it. And BTW, how come the planet’s inhabitants are human? Less tea sippin’, more ‘splainin’.
They could be human, but not human. Life doesn’t have to exactly duplicate us to get “humanoid” creatures.
Still waiting on clarification for that- the invaders could have been like parasites that just took over.
I’m also wondering exactly what BENEFICIAL means when he described that tea….
Cedar tea is well-known as a relaxant and calmative in northern North America (although certain types/strengths can be dangerous to women of childbearing age). It may be as simple as that…
“how come the planet’s inhabitants are human?”
Um, perhaps because it’ll turn out that the Nelson drive is a *dimensional* drive, not a spatial one (or not *just* a spatial one)? I think it’s pretty clear that the Pathfinder and the Galaxion have been transported to a different version of Earth. I also think that Zan has a pretty good idea that this is what has happened – and perhaps the Admiral as well.
At a stretch, that could be the Auckland skyline in that picture… reinforcing this being alt-NZ!
