If you guessed it was Zan behind Door Number One… you were right. Or else you remembered the old version of the story!

I think it was fairly obvious when Aria heard his thoughts and he was taking something apart… I suppose Zan is trying to make another extendable probe?
His thoughts are hilarious, by the way. (ow) XD
What was it Jules Rivera called him? *goes and looks* MacGyver. Right. Exactly. XD
I like how he thinks the General is going to leave him behind.
I guess it makes sense to keep that part of the old storyline. I call flashback in ten pages.
Ah…I was wondering where Zan was! He wasn’t in any of the panels at the end of the chapter, so I figured they might have gotten him, too. Yay for (guessing?) correctly!
Whoa, Zan, I thought I told you to take it easy with the trenat. That stuff’s got quite the kick, you know. Some people start hearing voices after just one glass and talk about hangovers…
How did someone so clumsy get a place on a starship?
I think Zan’s a bit zonked from the trenat, as it’s adversely affected Aria. That stuff’s got a kick, apparently.
Not too much with Aria, I think, though… I figure it’s just the disorienting feeling of hearing/experiencing other people’s thoughts that’s got them both off-balance.
I love this. The two pacifists who were all starry-eyed about First Contact have just been infected by something that proves that First Contact can be invasive and dangerous, and thus should be prepared for more pragmatically.
Carefree people like that have no business in such missions.
Er… “I’m really hoping it not this lamp pole is a bit”… should that be “hoping it’s not”, or what?
