Sorry about this….
Seriously, I still don’t know what I got hit with, but I haven’t been this sick for this long since… well, since a long time. Usually when I come down with something I’m over it within a few days, but this one has lingered for well over a week, and involved a couple trips to the doc. I haven’t been able to do much in the meantime. I’m slowly recovering, and since I have that big show to appear at in a few days… I’m taking a sick day today. Things will resume as usual next week.
Meanwhile, wish me luck that I’ll be well by Thursday so I can cope with Fan Expo! I hope I’ll have a chance to see some of you there. I promise not to cough on you.
Are you sure they’re hallucinations?
Seriously though, get well soon!
I hope that you get well soon.
Get well soon!
Oy.
Speedy recovery to you!
*sigh* I have known and worked with a great many different sorts of people in different professions over the years, but I have never known any group of individuals who became ill more frequently or for longer periods than webcomic artists and/or writers. Honestly, it must be one of the most hazardous professions known to man. :p
Get well soon.
Stress. They’ putting out comics for free, and trying to pay bills with art, one of the worst paid for, yet most sought after professions…. for free…. Musicians like myself can run a close second.
Of all the web comics I read, Galaxion is among the most reliable for consistency of updates. As for falling ill, I seem to be ill at least as often as the more flaky comic authors and I’m not an artist. So cut Tara some slack.
Also I’m impressed that even when Tara is ill, we still get a fantastic and funny page. I love these occasional pages where the characters talk to Tara.
There’s a group that gets sick far more often, and that’s parents. Kids are just disease vectors, bringing all kinds or lurgy in from the outside world.
With Tara being a multi classed webcomic artist-mom, then we should count our blessings that she’s healthy so much of the time.
Get well soon. The story’s getting into the areas I never saw last time round, and I’m missing you already.
Hi Tara – thanks for the heads-up! I’ll be sure to avoid you at FanExpo this weekend :-p
I hope you feel better soon.
Aaawww,
Poor Patty.
Poor Aria.
Poor Zan.
And now, Poor Tara. But you can have David bring you chicken soup in bed. Or, at least, he should!
Bon rétablissement
Lots of orange juice.
Lots of bed rest.
And lots of Purel when you hit Fan Expo!
Thanks!
Martian flu.. have had it.. not fun.. you should get the doc off of the ship to tend you.. , Also our wishes for quick recovery!!
Praying for you to get better. It’s a selfish prayer. I want you to entertain me.
Seriously. Get someone to make this Chicken Soup for you.
1 whole chicken (minus innards) in large pot well covered with water, cooked till meat comes off the bones. remove skin and bones and any excessive fat. Add one large diced onion, 1 complete large clove of garlic diced, and 1 cup of barley preferably with the bran still on it. NOTHING ELSE. Cook till barley is done. drink a cup of the juice, when you feel better eat some soup.
Be well. We love your work as well as you. Scott
Get well soon.
Get well, Tara!
BTW, will you be at Fan Expo all four days?
Thank you, everyone! I really appreciate the well wishes. My energy level is improving, so I hope to be able to handle FanExpo. And I will indeed be there all four days.
Get better!
Woo! It was super cool seeing you at Fan Expo, I’m glad you were (or at least seemed to be) feeling better. (: Thank you for the books! I spent all day reading them
