For those of you who enjoy comparing the old pre-webcomic version of Galaxion to the current one, I’ll make some notes. In the analogous scene from issue #5 I filled Aria’s room to the brim with books and whatnots, but her collection– entertaining though it was to draw– was based mostly upon my own tastes at the time. So this time around I decided to try to use the opportunity to reveal something of her character instead! Not that I expect anyone to glean amazing insights from this page or anything.
Also, if you scroll down to the last blog post, you’ll recognize a portion of the penciled version of this page. You’ll see the other one next Tuesday.
I should mention that Ad Astra, Toronto’s long-standing fantasy and science fiction convention, is one of my site’s sponsors this month! So please help me thank them by clicking on their ad at the top of the page and checking out the upcoming show. That’s quite a list of panel topics! I get to attend this year, and I can’t wait.
I called it!
I was intrigued by Aria’s book collection in #5… lots of science books, most of which I’ve heard of. And In Search of Schrödinger’s Cat, which is slightly appropriate to the current scene.
That’s pretty funny, actually!
Isn’t it though? I actually got out my copy of the Black Book just so I could read all the titles again.
I wouldn’t want to be in there if the gravity generator ever fails.
I’ve often thought that about much of the Galaxion… well, maybe they’re smart and hold items in place with sticky-tac or velcro or something.
Velcro for sure, at minimum…
Marks on the corner of the bed- evidence of a small furry creature with claws?
Ahhhh, kitty hunting, with that much stuff in the room this could get tricky.
Aww, where did the bumbling henchmen statuettes go?
Oh, you mean Hack and Slash? Man, I miss Reboot. But hey, it’s finally being released on DVD! Yay!
Could that be kittys eyes peeking out from under the bed in the foreground?
That’s actually a table… Well, it’ll become more clear soon.
Hi Tara!
Is it just my computer, or are all the comments weirdly aligned? They all look centered to me
Hi, Kev! I don’t know what to tell you, it looks normal to me. Anyone else seeing something odd?
Actually, yes, the comments have been “centered” for me for several weeks. It doesn’t really bother me, so I haven’t mentioned it…
Not in my case. Browser-specific, perhaps?
What Internet browser are you using?
IE version 7.0.6000.17037. As I said, the centered comments aren’t really a problem for me, though.
It looks normal for me on both Firefox and Safari. Now I’m wondering what else might be different on certain browsers…
Well, it seems it’s an IE-specific issue; everything is centered in IE 8 too. Some browsers are finicky where CSS is concerned; IE more than others, for some reason.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it—I won’t, ’cause I use Chrome—but I’ll certainly let you know if I find any other problems.
