And now… the moment you’ve all been waiting for… the winning entry in the Name the Hat contest is:
Dave Van Domelen’s entry: The Feuerkraft Mark I! *cheers, lots of clapping*
It was a tough choice, let me tell you, as the other entries each had their own winning charms. But after much debate, we decided that Dave’s suggestion had the combination of cool name and weird function that would appeal to a guy like Zan. So, congratulations, Dave! I will inscribe Feuerkraft onto the original page and send it off to you (after I get a good scan of it, of course!).
I want to share the other entries with you all, but I’d like to do a little something special for it. Gimme a week or two on that!
I forgot to mention this in last week’s post, so in case you missed it on Sunday, be sure to check out the latest Galaxion Retrospective!
Finally, this Friday is a bonus update day, so tune in for the next page and also an important announcement….
I love that “Moi?” look Fusella’s giving. She has no intention of letting this drop, she’s just going to be more sublte about it. ^_^
I love what you have here! The direction is excellent and I am totally hooked on the story even though no space monster or intergalactic battles have sprung out of nowhere. Keep up the great work
How come I managed to miss that you had this new site up? It’s looking good!
Though for some reason the nav arrow buttons at the top are ever so slightly overlapping the comic for me. Not a big deal, but it looks a little wrong.
4LS: I think it’s browser-dependent. On Safari on my Mac at home, the overhang of the nav buttons is pretty major, something like a third of the button overlaps the strip. On Firefox on my work PC, though, it’s maybe a two pixel overlap. Just enough to notice, but not enough to be much of an issue.
Man, I’ve been behind on responding to the comments!
Dave III: what, you think Fusella would ignore her promise?
JAcen: thank you! I’ll see what I can do about the space monsters.(heh.)
4LS: aw, poop. What browser are you using?
Dave Van Domelen: Weird. It looks fine for me on Safari, Camino, Firefox, and Flock. All on the Mac. Oh, wait…. if I look REEEALLY closely, I can see that overhang. Hm. We’ll see what we can do.
Thanks for the comments, everybody!
If it’s any help, I’m on Windows Internet Explorer, and do not have any of this overlap problem of which you all speak.
I like all of Fu’s hairclips! That’s a nice little touch.
I’m just rereading the comic when I got to this page and now I REALLY want to know who the “bad date” was with. Which member of the crew has Aria been avoiding? Or maybe it was someone else Fusella knew from outside the crew (which would hardly re-assure Aria about her track record in matching friends up)?
I may get around to telling this eventually, but FWIW my original concept (which of course is not yet set in stone or anything) was not a particularly nice story…
