And here is the very first comic-page appearance of Alex from Salmagundi #6, published in October 1994. He’s still in the midst of evolving, here. He’s lost those strange sideburns, thankfully, and he’s still got the big eyes. What won’t be apparent to you guys but is really obvious to me, though, is his change in personality– no longer the shy workaholic engineer, he is now a stony and aloof workaholic engineer. 
Seriously, he has a personality, and one day he’ll be able to trot it out. Is this page a spoiler? Well, try not to think about it too much.
