The layout on this page is fabulous, Tara. I especially love the way you did the bottom panels, with Fusella’s stunned silence and Aria’s grief. Beautiful.
If Aria’s still “experiencing auditory hallucinations”, I wonder just what she’s hearing right now. Not much from the captain, I bet. Uh, hopefully something from Patty…
I have to say I’ll be disappointed if Patty is dead. I thought the way the author had apparently decided not to kill Patty was one way this version of Galaxion was significantly better than the original version of the story.
I’m more concerned that the ship’s captain is being disctracted. The ship is in the middle of a major crisis, and again here she is worrying about one minor thing (yes it is minor given what else has happened to the ship just now).
All crew have been rescued from Engineering. Medics are working on the injured. Other technicians are trying to figure out where they are (if they even moved) or attempting to fix the ship. The admiral has yet to relinquish command to Captain Mierter so she is probably working on what happened. Unless I have forgotten some other event, it seems all current crises are being handled by the correct people.
Besides, the subtext for this comic is “Life. Love. Hyperspace.” Feel the love!
Oh Patty… please be okay…
Didn’t Patty die in The Original Series? But earlier in the story?

Don’t die, Patty!
Dangit. What’s with SF stories and killing off fan favourite characters?

This does not explain what happened. I want to know.
Did we start a petition for TF2 to carry one of Patty’s hats?
