What, that flashing alert panel? Don’t worry, it’s probably nothing.

There’s that irritating noise again!!!!
It’s just a proximity alert. Like the ones you will find on newer cars to prevent you from reversing into stuff. Hit the brake and it’ll be fine!
Of course, if the vessel is a spaceship and the thing you’re reversing into is a planet, the procedure might be a little more complicated and energy-intensive. :/
> Hit the brake and it’ll be fine.
Uh-oh! If you just jumped straight into highway traffic, hitting the brake might not be cery helpful …
And if they’re back in their home ‘verse again, the orbital tracks are bound to be somewhat more crowded than over the Miesti-invaded world they hope to have left behind.
If other stories are any indication, they ran right into the next invasion…
If there’s anything I’ve learned from reading Galaxion, REEPs are NEVER good!
This isn’t a “REEP”, it’s a “BREEP”. Maybe hope is called for here…?
Someone somewhere in the Galaxion universe has written a dissertation titled Them’s the Breeps: Ontological Considerations on the Differences Between Alarm Sounds Which Start with a B and Those Which Start with an R.
It tried to disguise itself by putting a ‘B’ on the front, but I’m not fooled!
Hey, for all we know, the BREEP could mean they’re back in *their* universe and Earth is sending out a welcoming committee. But I’m not going to get my hopes up…
Hey, it’s that soothing alarm again.
“Oh this? It’s just my guy-from-two-pages-ago-died-a-flaming-death alarm. You like it? I just had it installed.”
