Happy Anniversary to Galaxion! Today, the first Tuesday after Labour Day, marks six years of the Galaxion webcomic. Chocolate chip cookies all around!
If you are new to the comic or are otherwise scratching your head about what’s going on here, this might be a good time to start reading from the beginning of the chapter.
I meant to do a blog post about last week’s FanExpo, but somehow it didn’t come together. So I’ll just share now the one event from that show that made me very happy: I actually sold out of books at the show! Before you panic, I didn’t sell out of books completely– but what I did do was sell all the books I’d brought with me! And I brought a lot. Even better, I sold my last set of books 1&2 right at closing time on the last day of the show, so I wasn’t left wondering if I’d could’ve sold more if only I’d brought them. It was perfect, just perfect.
Ohhh. Now let the chase begin! Time and physical effort takes away the “Miesti effect” so they might actually have a chance at getting away, but if there will be a mob of angry gardeners after them they’d better hurry!
Indeed. This would be a good time for some chase scene music!
How’s this? :3
The minute someone says “chase music” all I can think of is Benny Hill. To that music. Unfortunately. (Memories of that show make me shudder.) Still, picturing Zan and Aria running around like Keystone Cops is kind of amusing…
LOL!!!
Great chases there!
But- I went from Benny Hill to Monty Python’s Flying Circus, and now I can’t stop thinking about SPAM !
I hope they do the bit where the camera is at one end of a long hallway with lots of doors and they keep popping out of one door and running to the door across the hall, always just missing each other, until they finally both pop out of directly opposite doors and smash into each other.
Is he… floating in that last panel? Doesn’t look like his left foot is touching ground.
Er… that’s just an optical illusion. He’s being yanked along, and the camera caught him when he was mid-pull. Yeah, that’s it.
I think her yelling ‘get up’ caused his body to stand- not so much his consciousness to actually register her efforts and do what’s needed. I think he’s still more influenced by the trenat than her.
But it *does* seem to be an effect that fades over time. Perhaps all Aria, Zan, and Patty will need is bed rest after all this is over?
After all this is over? I hope it is never ending! Just think about what is happening at the “rebel mountain” base. (?!) They must be going nuts because they’ve been compromised and Patty is sitting there acting like a beacon of a sort.
Then there is the Galaxion itself. We still don’t know what is up with the proximity alarm. And if the incoming is hostile, how does a science vessel defend itself?
This is delicious!
Yay! Congratulations on the Galaxion anniversary!
Oh, my heart’s been breaking a little with each of the recent pages. Zan is my favorite character, so seeing him messed up like this… is actually something I love to do to my own characters, haha. And it’s really fascinating to get a look at him without a brain-to-mouth filter or any of his usual funniness. But at the same time, oh ouch, my heart.
Can’t wait ’till next Tuesday!
I think that something in Aria’s brain has been turned on by the Miesti’s contacts with her — Not only can she now read thoughts, but Zan is responding to here command as if he had been given a mental command by one of the butterflys.
… I foresee mental battles ahead…
Woo! Glad I came by when I did and snagged my copies!
Yay! I am loving this storyline!
I saw you at FanExpo, I bought book 1 and 2. I love, love, LOVED them!
Just wanted to express my admiration for this webcomic.
