The “off panel” dialogue may make more sense if you flip back a page.
On a completely non-comic-related note, I spent the whole weekend contra dancing! It was exhilarating and exhausting, the music was amazing– we danced to the foot-stomping jigs and reels of Wild Asparagus– and I can’t wait to do it again. If you’re interested, here’s a short video I took from Saturday night.
Rocks…. headstones? You’d think there’d be inscriptions, though…
what whaaaaaaaaaat! this is so bizarre, I was at spring thaw too! haha way cool. . .it was a great weekend. So glad I went up there
@Mike– Yay, more contra dancers!! Glad to hear you had a great time. Now, what would be really bizarre is if you tell me you’re in that video somewhere!
@Nate– yes, that is a rough burial mound.
That second panel is very powerful. Nice work!
Hmmm. Graves usually mean survivors.
aww, I don’t think so. . .but I was the kid up from the states who wore white cargo shorts all weekend =) Your name seems familiar but sadly I met too many new people all at once – did we dance?
@Mike– is that you in the middle line in this video? If it is, then yes, I’m quite sure we danced! And we also both attended the Irish Set Dance class…?
@Mike- I was wearing a blue shirt with a TerSA symbol embroidered on the front to that Friday dance (in the far line for the dance the video is of). So that could give you a clue to Galaxion folk at the dance.
Yes! awesome! and yeah that was me. David, now that I think about it I remember your shirt but I didn’t make the connection at the time.
Ok, I wasn’t at spring thaw – but I grew up right outside the town that the dance in your link was created in honor of – Lambertville NJ!
