Mal is one of those characters whose personality developed all of a sudden, right on the page. I thought I already had a good idea what he was about when I scripted this scene, but once I started penciling something sparked and he came to life for me. It’s kind of fun when that happens.
I like the mix of genders. Usually its too top heavy with males to females. I am male and I’d prefer a better mix. Nice to see it here.
