All Fusella wanted was to wish Darvin a Happy Birthday. The rest of the crew were in the hallway wearing their party hats and waiting to shout, “Surprise!”
It was sad, really.

LOL!! This time it wasn’t even Darvin who sabotaged the page. He just tripped all over it.
They ought to carry pocket flashlights with them, eh?
More confusion !
But there’s cake !!
Well, this is what you end up with if your birthday is April 1st…
A stylish April’s Fools joke, inching towards Fridge Logic territory – it only hits you afterwards that the calendar date “in comic” is not April 1st, that spaceships, like regular ships and some airplanes have backup lighting installed by default so they can never go pitch dark and that, considering the situation they’re in (stranded, lost, survey team MIA) a party would be the last thing on anyone’s mind at this point…
Also, “Don’t worry about the wiring”? On a spaceship? Is this the MIR station or something?
‘I get the feeling that Fusella is lying through her teeth about it. Then again, as we see in “A Matter of Principle”, the Galaxion does have some serious maintenance issues. At any rate, I expect that the lights turning off was not natural, but rather part of Fusella’s plot to wish Darvin a happy birthday.
Classy.
So I’m guessing this is going to be a blooper page in the end/this counts for our “first Friday of the month” page? Still pretty amusing though.
Well, yeah… I’ve essentially skipped out on the update and it’s back to the story on Tuesday. But hopefully you were still entertained.
Hmm. I’m just getting to this on April 3, and there seems to be no image. I can guess what it might look like from the comments above, but any chance it might be restored?
Huh. Weird! Well, hopefully all is working now.
At least by now it is (I had the same problem earlier).
Ad Astra!
