I should mention that I am going to be at FanExpo in Toronto again this year, August 23-26, once again sharing a pair of tables with Crystal Yates of Tomgeeks and Earthsong. This is one of my few appearances this year, so if you can come out to say hi, please do!
Given Galaxion‘s themes involving similar-but-just-a-little-bit-different alternate universes, some of you might be interested in the novel I just finished reading: The Walls of the Universe by Paul Melko. It explores the concepts and consequences of these tropes rather well. The first few chapters reminded me a lot of the great time travel book by David Gerrold, The Man Who Folded Himself, but Melko’s story soon moves into very different directions. I found myself finishing this novel in only a few days, which is pretty speedy for me right now with all the various distractions in my life (curse you, Minecraft!), and a testament to how much of a page turner it is. There’s a sequel out in hardcover, and I hope to get it from the library soon.
…if I can just get this apart…
Three guesses as to who this could be.
I suspect that I need but one.
We’ll see next week if I’m right. Meantime, I’m keeping my yap shut.
I’ve got a pretty good idea but keeping schtum to avoid looking silly if its shown to be obviously wrong next week
Hearing one anothers’ thoughts is going to make inter-personal relationships really … um … interesting
Well I once backed off from a relationship because I thought a woman wasn’t interested. I found out years later she was playing hard to get and wanted to see how much I really wanted her (having had men use and discard her previously). I did want her, but I respected her apparently obvious distinerest. So reading minds might be a lot easier that what we currently go through frankly. Twenty years later I’m still single, that might have been my big chance. Oh well.
I really like Aria’s attitude in the first panel. Good to see.
I must point out that neither of them has mentioned shoes or hair, or anything cute, so I’m suspicious !
What have shoes or hair got to do with anything? I’m intrigued, please explain why those are more significant than the millions of other things they haven’t mentioned. Also, cute? As in cute furry animals like polar bear cubs? Again I don’t see the connection.
Obviously, Owen, you have never read a woman’s mind!
