We’re celebrating the New Year with a new scene! Actually this is the continuation of an old scene: if you want a quick reminder of what Zan and Aria are up to, go to p.229 and read the following four pages.

It’s the beefed-up Aba-Cus… from Hell! I can understand Aria’s discomfort.
Two words, Zan: Ergonomic Design!
… Of course it’s a scene change. What else would it be? I swear, when ‘torturer’ stopped being a valid profession, all the sadists went and became webcomickers. Oh well Zan’s always fun and Aria hasn’t been getting nearly enough screentime, this should still be good~.
You said it! I want to know the result of Nelson’s perfectly justified hysterics. But techies being techies is also fun.
Zan is the MacGuyver of this series. He could design a comms link out of a broken wrist calculator and a banana peel, I swear.
Boy, you said it. XD
Hooboy! I get to catch up/re-read an old favourite! Count me in as one of the old floppy readers. I’ll have fun re-reading this version and seeing all the annotations, yay!
Excellent news! I’m so glad you found us. I hope you enjoy the new version of the story!
When I wrote that comment, I hadn’t realised you had re-restarted the storyline… and I really like this one, it’s much clearer and the extra bits of character development cement them in my head much more solidly. I always had a little bit of trouble in the floppies remembering who was who, how did things happen… no such problem here. And the art is more solid – literally, those thicker lines have done wonders to the perspective and the character designs.
Needs more duct tape, so the pieces don’t fall off.
…Tara, I had very odd/partly sick dreams last night after being inordinately tired all day and reading the first 4 chapters in a go. Normally my dreams are all kinda actiony (in a bad way) and full of suspense that leaves me drained.. but these were filled with myriad moments of discussion, pauses, interactions. In other words, Galaxion influenced my dreams, and very few things manage to do that.
Niall, that has to be the coolest thing I’ve heard all week. Thank you!
Ah… the new iDuct III …. I didn’t realize they
were in general service yet.
Eli.
Kiss him already!
Having re-read all the floppies now… wow. This version has so much more of a sense of danger and trouble. And knowing the very vague generalities of what’s coming next… eep. Though I suspect things will happen somewhat differently too.
I can say, though, that the slower pace is so much better. Comparing, the floppies had things happen rather quickly, plot points being hit at the expense of characters somewhat (which is why I was always a bit lost). This is much more of a nail-biter.
Dangit! Just when the we get to a great spot, it shifts to the comic relief. But I think we should be more concerned about the one with the broken arm.
Pretty much a page from the 90s comic, how nostalgic!
