*goes to look at original artwork* … It says “Ataqan University”, then scribbles, then “Aria Laurie Schafer; Master of the Geological Sciences” then more scribbling. Someone can correct me if the title I gave her isn’t the right wording.
Heh, Fusella is bemusing when she’s annoyed. And I’m guessing that Aria has heard the rant before and that’s why she only got an eyeroll, Fusella has a new and willing audience here!
He’s in Aria’s room and he isn’t even looking at the pictures? What kind of recon is he conducting? The poor sap is in more trouble than he thinks. And a quick cursory glance at the books she has is not enough.
Actually, if you go back and look at page 205, he’s seen peering at this very same diploma. And throughout the scene, any time he’s not talking or being attentive to something Fu is saying, he’s looking off left, or right, ostensibly at what Aria’s got in her room. But I definitely agree with you that he’s in more trouble than he thinks he is. He’s a man, after all.
Well, there’s a reason why the military regulates relationships. There’s a danger of favoritism if an ensign dates a captain, or a lieutenant-commander dates a rear admiral. And there’s a certain chance the higher-ranked officer may abuse his standing in kind.
Fusella has a small crew, and its easy to see why she thinks the way she thinks. She can act quickly if something goes wrong. The commander of a huge base, or a theatre of operations, sometimes doesn’t see it – can’t – before it kinda blows up in his or her face.
I’m a bit annoyed at how Fusella passes judgement so easily on an organization she isn’t a part of and probably knows only superficially.
Well, bearing in mind that it’s Interplanetary Patrol that’s the military one and not TerSA… you’ll likely feel a bit of satisfaction when you get to read the page I happen to be penciling right now.
My comment got eaten… Bah!
LOL… all Aria got (in ch. 3) was an eyeroll from Fusella (not to mention a completely innocent smile).
What does Aria’s diploma say?
Seconding that question…especially as a longtime fan of Okudagrams in general…

That’s OK. Most diplomas are just a bunch of scribbling anyway !
Well this is exactly what being stuck on an orbiting space ship would be like.

Dayum I’m nitpicky this morning.

…and aparently, I’m also in trouble for not spotting those scenes, being a man and all…
No, I’ll let you off this time on account of the 1 page per week pace.
I love Fusella! She’s so much fun! And she seems like a really great friend for Aria.
P.S.–Passover was delicious, thanks!
You ate the whole holiday? I wasn’t aware that a Passover meal included dates.
It certainly can, although I tend to associate eating dates more with the Tu B’Shvat seder than with the Passover seder.
Hmmm…
