I don’t think so. I think the whole experience makes her uncomfortable to begin with. She has been acting pretty normal for some time now. She wants to put this behind her for some time now.

It is interesting because it raises questions about human telepathy. I do not think it’s inherent but rather a by-product of the Miesti’s thing, which is probably imperfect for humans. If they could tailor it further to allow communications, they might find partners instead of imperfect slaves.

It seems clear to me that Aria is not telling the truth to some degree. How much she can still hear people’s thoughts is unclear.

Ari, you should look other people in the eye when you’re lying. That silhouette in Panel 4 seems to foreshadow that someone didn’t believe you about having lost your newfound power.
