Interesting statement. In both the real world and fictional ones (think Star Trek), very substantial uniform changes can happen over a short time.

I notice the swirly words were a bit more legible on this and maybe the last couple of pages. Re-reading, I can now pick out a few phrases here and there, I like the way you juuust hit the threshold of intelligibility. I notice the swirly text seems to be the thoughts of the Rautani, or something like that, since I’m seeing “sure the miesti will be able to help her”, “…don’t really need to wa[tch]“, “was it really (head, something) -y believe it was ten years ago”, “and could she be from earth like [me]”

Neither the Meisti font nor the character placement seems baffling; I’m feel like I’m really picking up on her foggy, almost fever-like daze well. Maybe fever-like isn’t quite right—it kind of reminds me of the after-effects of anesthetic, I think.
