Good Question! The answer is a complicated one, due to the distance to their shuttle-craft from where they are now (if its even still there, or hasn’t been moved or destroyed by the Ugly, Rude, Hostile Garden People Tribe) plus there is no communication with the Galaxion, plus they really don’t know what the threat is on this planet, or if their exposure has contaminated them. In that case there would be stringent IP protocols to be followed, and I can imagine that “contact team” could also mean “expendable, write-off personnel.”

Oohhhh…I completely forgot about that (and I shouldn’t have because I JUST read that in the GN). Best case scenario, she has a funky, terrible infection. Worst case she turns into a giant moth thing (which would be totally cool).

So why don’t they just take her back? Waiting on the General could very well kill her. Or turn her into a giant moth creature.

I’m not sure about the Wave Motion Cannon, but I definitely want to see Tara’s rendition of the Survey Team being chased by a bear wearing a Sikh had and paddling a canoe.

Well…. since you ask… in an earlier version of the story, there were hyenas. I am totally not making that up, though I wish I were. (I posted that page for an April Fool gag a few years back, in case it looks familiar to some of you but you have no idea why.)

Yeah, nuts to that First Contact nonsense! The Galaxion needs a Wave Motion Gun!
