Well, bearing in mind that it’s Interplanetary Patrol that’s the military one and not TerSA… you’ll likely feel a bit of satisfaction when you get to read the page I happen to be penciling right now.

Well, there’s a reason why the military regulates relationships. There’s a danger of favoritism if an ensign dates a captain, or a lieutenant-commander dates a rear admiral. And there’s a certain chance the higher-ranked officer may abuse his standing in kind.

Fusella has a small crew, and its easy to see why she thinks the way she thinks. She can act quickly if something goes wrong. The commander of a huge base, or a theatre of operations, sometimes doesn’t see it – can’t – before it kinda blows up in his or her face.

I’m a bit annoyed at how Fusella passes judgement so easily on an organization she isn’t a part of and probably knows only superficially.

Actually, if you go back and look at page 205, he’s seen peering at this very same diploma. And throughout the scene, any time he’s not talking or being attentive to something Fu is saying, he’s looking off left, or right, ostensibly at what Aria’s got in her room. But I definitely agree with you that he’s in more trouble than he thinks he is. He’s a man, after all.
