EdgeWise, from what I understand the Girlamatic site has been under hacker attack and the admins are trying very hard to solve the problem. So it should be back before too long (I hope). You are more than welcome to continue reading Galaxion at this site, though, even after things are all back to normal over there.

That's true-- to a certain degree-- but if the mystery guests decided to fan out, there might be trouble. But they'd already planned to leave the valley anyway.

Well at least we haven't forgotten our good General Ahab... The only thing that bothers me about this whole sequence is that, given the superwhamodyne sensor capabilities of the Galaxion, would it not be possible to play run-around with whoever it is without needing to try and exit the valley? What I mean is, given that our mystery guests are apparently subject to being spotted and tracked from orbit, could the Galaxion not advise the landing party how best to maneuver in the valley so as to both avoid contact and perhaps observe whoever it is that is approaching?
