I don’t know when or if you will read this but your german lacks albeit being orthographically correct the grammatical finesse of a real speaker – unless the future speaks drastically different german.
Your version:
Fusella: “Oh, sie fließend deutsch sprechen?” (sounds like Yoda)
Correct version:
Fusella: “Oh, sie sprechend fließend deutsch?” (sounds like a native speaker)
Your Version:
Vessa: “Ja, Ich habe von mein Großvater gelernt” (essentially right and much better than Fusella’s words)
Correct Version: “Ja, ich habe es von meinem Großvater gelernt.” (“habe” is in this case transitive and “mein” conjugates in the dative case to “meinem”)
I’m sorry to be so nitpicky, and judging by the off-memory analysis… my german teacher was REALLY a pain in the… behind.
Anyways, a fun read.

Thank you for the corrections! Actually, you are not the first to point out to me that the German needs some help. But I do appreciate the effort! I promise I will fix it in the printed version (which I will advertise on this site as soon as I can make it available)!
Hey, I’m from germany
“jemand wie ich” has made a small mistake in his version of Fusellas sentence, although i think it’s just a typo…
It’s “sprechen” and not “sprechend”
Good work though
Or a local dialect of In Universe german! (Not Myriad language is german)
